Abstract

I am interested in investigating the importance of plant functional traits, particularly root traits, and the effect of trait identity and diversity on drought resistance and recovery. I will focus on the integration of hydraulic traits into the plant form and function framework (Weigelt et al. 2021) and the importance of biomass allocation to roots as a mediator of plant drought responses. My P.hd is a part of The Jena Experiment subproject 03 funded by DFG FOR 5000/2.
