The Faculty Regulations specify which bodies regulate and are responsible for the various decision-making paths within the Faculty. In addition to the Dean's Office, these include the Faculty Board, the Study Commissions and the Examination Boards.
Duties of the Faculty Board
The Faculty Board consists of elected representatives of the university teachers, the academic staff, the students and the employees of the faculty. Tasks of the MD/PhD Committee
The dual doctorate is an offer for particularly talented, selected students of medicine and the life sciences and places special demands on their supervision. The MD/PhD Commission decides on admission to this special double degree programme and the individual design of the interdisciplinary doctorate. Doctoral students acquire both the titles Dr. rer. med. and Dr. rer. nat. and, after successful completion, may use the title MD/PhD, which distinguishes them as internationally recognised experts.
