Abstract
I am a research associate in the Human Biology and Primate Cognition Group and study coordinator for Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in Biology at the Faculty of Life Sciences, Institute of Biology at Leipzig University.
In teaching and supervising students, I emphasise scientific methods and the principles of good scientific practice in order to promote independent and responsible scientific work.
In my research, I follow a comparative approach and am particularly interested in the inter- and intraspecific variation and development of (pro-)social behaviours, social relationships and cognitive abilities in apes across the lifespan. In the context of empirical studies, I collaborate closely with numerous scientifically managed zoological gardens.
