You have already gathered grades or credits in another study course? You can submit an application for these grades and credits to be acknowledged and then apply for enrollement for a higher semester at our faculty. There are somewhat different procedures between the biological sciences (biochemistry, biology, biology for teaching) and psychology.
Deadlines and procedure
You will obtain a Transfer of Credit Notice (Anrechnungsbescheid) that must be added to your formal enrollment application for a higher semester.
In order to process your application and to issue the Transfer of Credit Notice on time, your study coordinator must receive your application by 31.12. for enrollments in the summer semester and by 30.06. for enrollments in the winter semester.
After you submit your application, your study coordinator will handle the communication with the Examination Board. Their decision will be communicated to you by email or by regular mail. We kindly request you to refrain from enquiries on the current status of the procedure.

Change of study location for courses in biochemistry, biology and biology for teachers

To apply for the recognition of study and examination achievements, use the corresponding application template and submit the signed application by e-mail to the study coordinator responsible for you. Be sure to include the links and documents listed in the application template in your e-mail. Incomplete applications and/or applications not submitted on time cannot be processed.
Change of study course within the Faculty of Life Sciences
You have already collected grades and credits in a study programme at the Faculty of Life Sciences and want them to be accredited for another study programme? Take advantage of the simplified application procedure.
Fill in the application form and submit it via email to the responsible study coordinator. Please make sure to attach all the neccessary links and documents mentioned in the template. We are unable to process an incomplete application.
We recommend you to follow this procedure especially if you plan to switch within the study programmes for teachers.
