The Faculty of Life Sciences is structured academically into three institutes. The Institute of Biochemistry studies the molecular structure and the chemical processes in living organisms. Biology is a science that deals with the study of life and living organisms, including their organization and evolution. Psychology is an empirical science dealing with the study of human experience, behaviour and conscience.

In 33 Research Groups professors and members of the academic staff are strongly committed to working closely together with our students. While each group specialises in a different area, they all take a highly practical approach to their teaching and research.
